The Mob Psycho 100 III anime, a beloved series that has captivated audiences worldwide, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special event at the Fukagawa Mirai Hall in Kawaguchi City, Saitama. The event featured a new short anime, streaming online with English subtitles, showcasing the beloved characters Reigen, Shigeo (Mob), Dimple, and Tome at the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. This short film was directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, who also served as the writer, storyboarder, and technical director. The Mob Psycho 100 series, created by ONE (One-Punch Man), began in 2012 on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday service and later on their Manga ONE app. It concluded in December 2017, with the final compiled book volume released in April 2018. Dark Horse Comics is now publishing the manga and the Mob Psycho 100: Reigen spinoff in English. The anime's first season premiered in July 2016, followed by a second season in January 2019, both streamed by Crunchyroll with English dubs by Funimation. The series also aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block starting in October 2018.
The Mob Psycho 100 REIGEN: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic event anime debuted in March 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed it. They later added an English dub, and Funimation also streamed it. The manga has inspired a live-action series on Netflix, which premiered in Japan in January 2018 and worldwide in May 2018. The third season of the anime, Mob Psycho 100 III, premiered on October 5, 2022, and Crunchyroll streamed it worldwide, excluding Asia, with Japanese audio and English subtitles, and an English dub as it aired in Japan.
This anniversary event and the new short anime are a testament to the enduring popularity and impact of Mob Psycho 100, a series that has left an indelible mark on the anime and manga industry.
